For over three decades, it has been my privilege to care for you and your families, building relationships grounded in trust, continuity, and a shared commitment to better health. Cerium Family Practice was built with a clear purpose, to provide care that not only treats illness, but prevents it, guided by the principle of Better Health For Better Life.

The Nurse Practitioners you see here were carefully selected and personally trained by me to uphold the same philosophy, standards, and dedication to patient-centered care that I have practiced throughout my career. They are an extension of that commitment, chosen to help me continue delivering the level of care you have come to expect.

Many of you have entrusted me with your health for decades, and that trust remains deeply meaningful to me. I will continue to do my very best for you and your family, ensuring that the care you receive at Cerium remains consistent, thoughtful, and focused on helping you live your healthiest life.

Public Health Advisor

John-Isaac Waters

John Isaac Waters approaches medicine through a public health lens, where prevention is not optional, it is essential. His philosophy is grounded in a clear and evidence-based principle: the most effective way to manage disease is to prevent its occurrence. With advanced training in public health, he advises the practice on emerging trends, predictive outcomes, and strategies designed to protect both individual patients and the broader community.

Respiratory illnesses such as influenza, RSV, common cold, and COVID-19 are transmitted through routine human interaction such as talking, breathing, coughing, and close proximity. These modes of transmission are constant in any clinical environment and must be addressed with consistent, disciplined preventive measures.

For this reason, Cerium Family Practice maintains clear standards rooted in public health science. Measures such as proper hand hygiene, vaccination, and the use of face masks within the clinical setting are not merely recommendations, they are essential components of patient safety. These protocols are in place to reduce exposure, protect vulnerable individuals, and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.

At Cerium, your health and well-being are not negotiable; they are the priority. John’s role ensures that our practice remains firmly grounded in a prevention-first model of care, reinforcing the principle that better health is achieved not only through treatment, but through deliberate and consistent prevention.
